About Caroline

Dublin Neuro Physio is run by me, Caroline Bicheno, a highly specialist neurological physiotherapist with over 25 years’ experience in neurology and rehabilitation.

I am CORU registered, a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP), Garda vetted, and a member of CPNG (Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology & Gerontology). I adhere to all professional standards, including data protection and confidentiality.

I provide specialist physiotherapy in your own home, covering Dublin city centre and surrounding areas south of the River Liffey.

My Journey

I was born and raised in the UK and moved to Dublin in 2025. My passion for physiotherapy began in 1995 after I personally experienced Guillain-Barré Syndrome, which left me temporarily paralysed. Following intensive rehabilitation, I fully recovered and went on to study Physiotherapy at Liverpool University.

My career began at King’s College Hospital London, before specialising in neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery Queens Square, part of University College London Hospitals.

In 2006, after the birth of my second child, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. After chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in 2009, I returned to clinical work and later moved into the charity sector, leading the physiotherapy service at the Samson Centre for MS.

In 2017, I established my own private neurological physiotherapy practice in the UK before relocating to Dublin.

I continually update my skills and have completed extensive postgraduate training, including:
