Neurological Conditions I Support

What is Neurological Physiotherapy?

Neurological physiotherapy is a specialist branch of physiotherapy focused on people who have symptoms following injury or damage to the central or peripheral nervous system.

Damage to the nervous system can cause:

• Weakness
• Altered sensation
• Pain
• Poor balance or coordination
• Falls
• Stiffness or spasms
• Tremor
• Spasticity

These symptoms can affect everyday life, including walking, working, self-care and family activities.

Neurological physiotherapy aims to reduce these symptoms and improve communication between the brain and body. Therapy also teaches new strategies and movement patterns to make activities safer, easier and less tiring.

I provide neurological physiotherapy in your home across Dublin city, primarily serving areas south of the River Liffey, tailoring treatment to your goals and daily life.
