Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation

Understanding Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition affecting the brain and spinal cord, which can lead to changes in strength, balance, coordination, sensation and fatigue. Symptoms often fluctuate, making flexible and personalised support especially important.

Fatigue is a common and often unpredictable symptom of MS and can affect physical, cognitive and emotional energy. Understanding patterns of fatigue and how they interact with daily activities is an important part of rehabilitation.

How Physiotherapy Can Help

Physiotherapy focuses on maintaining mobility, managing fatigue, improving balance and supporting everyday function. Therapy is adapted to how you are feeling on the day and evolves as your needs change.

Together, we can explore patterns such as fatigue levels, activity tolerance and recovery time to develop practical strategies that help you use your energy in ways that support your priorities and daily life.

My experience includes leading physiotherapy services at the Surrey MS Centre in the UK and presenting to allied health professionals on balance rehabilitation. This work deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of people with MS and informs my flexible, person-centred approach.

Support is provided in your own home across Dublin and surrounding areas, allowing therapy to be tailored to your daily environment and routines.
